The TeachBook app is published by Kevin Blayassi. This policy explains how your data is handled.
The app lets you enter and organize: your classes, your students (last name, first name and, optionally, date of birth, contact details, legal guardians, accommodations, photo), grades, assessments, observations, timetables, appointments and documents (PDF).
Your data is stored locally on your device and, if iCloud is turned on, synced through your private iCloud database (CloudKit). The publisher has no access to this data: it stays in your personal iCloud space, managed by Apple. It is never collected on a server run by the publisher, passed on or sold to third parties.
The app contains no advertising, no trackers and no third-party analytics.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. The publisher never receives or stores your payment details (see Apple's privacy policy).
Photos: used only when you choose to add an image (a student photo or a wallpaper); the app then accesses the images you select.
Notifications: used for appointment reminders, if you turn them on.
As a teacher, you are the controller of the student data you enter. You must have a legal basis and comply with the applicable regulations (GDPR) and your school's rules. The publisher only provides the tool and does not access this data.
Your data is kept for as long as you keep it in the app. You can delete it at any time in the app, and erase everything by uninstalling the app and deleting the associated data in iCloud.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data. Since your data stays under your control in your iCloud, you can exercise these rights directly in the app and in your iCloud account.
This policy may change as the app evolves. The version in force is the one published on this page.
