Mathik · Last updated: July 2026
The Mathik app is published by Kevin Blayassi. This policy explains how your data is handled.
Mathik saves your learning progress: answers, mastery level for each topic, experience (XP), level, streak and badges earned. You can also choose a nickname and customize your mascot. No account information, email address or real identity is required to use the app.
Your data is stored locally on your device and, if iCloud is turned on, synced through your private iCloud database (CloudKit). The publisher has no access to this data: it stays in your personal iCloud space, managed by Apple. It is never collected on a server run by the publisher, nor sold to third parties.
Friend codes are optional. If you generate a friend code, your nickname and a few progress statistics (XP, level, mastery) are published in a public iCloud database so that people who have your code can see them and compare their progress. Do not put personal information in your nickname. You can stop sharing at any time.
The app contains no advertising, no trackers and no third-party analytics.
In-app purchases (unlocking content packs) are one-time purchases processed by Apple through the App Store. The publisher never receives or stores your payment details (see Apple's privacy policy).
If you turn them on, notifications are used only to send you a daily reminder for your practice session, at the time of your choice. You can turn them off at any time in the app's or your device's settings.
Mathik is aimed at high-school students. The app asks for no personal information and collects no data for advertising. For a minor, we recommend use under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, especially for friend codes and the choice of nickname.
Your data is kept for as long as you keep it in the app. You can reset your progress in the app, and erase everything by uninstalling Mathik and deleting the associated data in iCloud.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data. Since your data stays under your control in your iCloud, you can exercise these rights directly in the app and in your iCloud account.
This policy may change as the app evolves. The version in force is the one published on this page.
